Practical Issues

You may have experienced some practical issues after your diagnosis or treatment.

These may be helped by some physical rehabilitation or occupational therapy. These services can be delivered in the community and sometimes during your recovery period it may be necessary for a physiotherapist or occupational therapist to visit your at home to help make suggestions about adaptions that you may need in your home. You will need a referral from your health professional at your surgery for these services, please contact your surgery to arrange this referral. These services are provided by the Great Western Hospital Community Nursing Team.

Some people also find they are no longer able to provide care for their pets and find themselves unable to cope. You may wish to explore the possibility of finding out a local pet rescue through the RSPCA Wiltshire.
